WHAT WE NEED

We’re looking for a digital marketing all-rounder to drive supporter engagement, increase brand visibility, and grow our community of animal advocates.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will help develop and implement HSI Australia’s digital strategy across all platforms to manage digital engagement and support the campaigns and fundraising teams. The successful candidate will be creative and analytical, be across latest digital trends and best practice but well-versed in digital marketing fundamentals; have knowledge and experience with campaigning tactics and be passionate about making a difference for animals and nature.

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, digital communications, or related field, or relevant experience in a similar role
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative flair and understanding of communicating across different channels for different purposes
  • Problem-solving skills and good initiative to identify problems and find solutions
  • Knowledge of digital best-practice—including SEO, basic HTML, paid/owned/earned social media, and analytics—for audience engagement and fundraising
  • Excellent analytic skills and demonstrated experience using data to drive results
  • Ability to prioritise projects
  • Attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of popular social media platforms
  • Great team player attitude
  • Passion for animal welfare and conservation.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Work with the Head of Communications, and alongside campaigns, fundraising, and program staff, to advise on and implement digital marketing best practice to reach campaign goals, build our brand, engage existing supporters, and attract new ones
  • Develop, create, and publish content on the HSI Australia website and digital channels (social media, EDMs, e-newsletters, blogs etc.) and manage online communities
  • Oversee the maintenance of the HSI Australia website and digital channels, including being the point of contact for external digital contractors
  • Work with the Fundraising Manager to develop online fundraising journeys, and execute digital fundraising requirements to grow online revenue
  • Keep HSI’s digital communications current and advise on the evolving digital landscape
  • Provide analysis, evaluation and insight into HSI Australia’s digital activity and work collaboratively to drive optimisation strategies for strong digital performance
  • Ensure HSI Australia’s brand message and tone are consistent and appropriate across all digital platforms
  • Conduct regular data hygiene processes to keep CRM integration effective and robust
  • Support fundraising administration staff as required to manage integration of digital and donor CRM records.
